Nippon Koei UK Co Ltd (NKUK) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nippon Koei Co Ltd. of Japan.  Registered as a Branch Office in the United Kingdom, the company has its operating headquarters in Reading, Berkshire, and focuses on projects in the developing world.  Formed in September 2000, NKUK is managed and staffed by British and other European staff, all of whom are highly experienced professionals with significant overseas consulting experience.

NKUK works closely with its parent company, Nippon Koei, as the Nippon Koei (NK) Group. Since its foundation as the first Japanese independent consulting engineering company in 1946 Nippon Koei has built up an international reputation for the quality and reliability of its services. During this period Nippon Koei has been entrusted with the planning and design of major infrastructure projects ranging from dams and hydroelectric projects to rural roads throughout more than 100 countries worldwide.
