The main objective of the consulting services financed by a loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to the Government of Bangladesh is to strategically improve the management capacity of Chittagong Water and Sewerage Authority (CWASA) to assure its operational sustainability after completion of the Karnaphuli Water Supply Project. The proposed improvements are related to organisational, institutional, managerial, financial and commercial development fields.
