The Project is to:
- Assist the central and local governments and the utility agencies in the physical delivery systems for potable water supply;
- Improve the institutional, technical and financial capability of local governments and agravodokanals in the planning, implementation, and operation and maintenance of facilities;
- Promote greater community participation in the management of rural infrastructure services;
- Assist the Government in the implementation of institutional reform for rural infrastructure services.
