Bumbuna Hydro-Electric Project: Environmental Management Support

NKUK was contracted to provide environmental management support to the Bumbuna PIU for a three-year period, which includes the initial filling of the Bumbuna reservoir (July 2007) and subsequent commissioning of the hydropower station.
Prior to this, NKUK was responsible for the 2005 Bumbuna Hydro-electric Project EIA update (2004-5), and was also commissioned to undertake a series of Baseline Surveys in the Bumbuna Watershed, and a Desk Study on the proposed Bumbuna Conservation Area (2005-7).
