NK provided the Institutional Development (ID) Specialist, retained as a staff consultant to JBIC, responsible for coordinating the work of the SAPROF II consultants in the preparation of short and long-term programs for the improvement of the financial performance of CWASA. The ID Specialist held detailed discussions with senior CWASA officials and facilitated project implementation.
The ID Specialist was also retained by JBIC to provide interim consultancy services to the Chittagong Water Supply & Sewerage Authority (CWASA) for the period between the completion of the SAPROF study and the commencement of the institutional development loan. He supervised the preparation of a new organisational structure and formulated and monitored a Follow-up Programme focusing on the improvement of the financial position of the authority.
