Hogenakkal Water Supply and Fluorosis Mitigation

India

The main objective of the project is to provide adequate protected drinking water supply to a population in the target area of Dhamapuri and Krishnagiri districts, suffering from shortage Water. The ground water is also heavily contaminated by fluoride. The present project aims that the new water supply facilities proposed will improve the living and health conditions of the people.

The Water Treatment Specialist was responsible for review of water treatment plant designs, in particular for process review. The Expert reviewed the process recommended for treatment of raw water in conjunction with raw water quality, and recommended any changes to the proposed process. The Expert prepared the specifications for the water treatment plant to be included in the bid document for execution and coordinated with TWAD Board for finalizing the suggested designs.
