Urgent Countermeasures for Sedimentation in Wonogiri Multipurpose Dam Reservoir

The prime objective of this Project is to decrease sediment influx into the Wonogiri dam reservoir to retain the reservoir capacity as much as possible for flood control, and stable water supply for irrigation, domestic and industrial use and hydropower generation. To this end, the following 3 components will be examined in this study:
1) Construction of two check dams on the Kali Kuduang just before the river enters into the reservoir.
2) Sediment dredging in front of the intake. (100,000m3)
3) Supply of a unit of sediment removal system comprising dredger, working boat, discharge pipes and accessories.

Establishment of Geographic Information System for DKI Jakarta Project

The purpose of the project is to build up a geographic information system for DKI Jakarta, thereby contributing to the urban development plan and urban infrastructure management. The project also will help refine and improve comprehensive local administrative services including collection of fixed assets tax. Although basic functions of the geographic information system are currently serviceable, the inability to add and update data in an appropriate manner is posing an impediment to the provision of services as a whole.
The study will verify the current system operations, analyze the cause of the problems, and on the basis of these findings, will organize a workshop to make recommendations on how to improve the system.
