Alastair Morris

Alastair Morris

Director, Water and Wastewater Division

A founder member of NKUK in 2000, Alastair has been responsible for the Water & Wastewater Division during the company's formative years.  Although UK bred and trained, he has spent most of his career in the international development sector, with long career postings in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.  He has spent long periods managing various international offices for a specialist consultant in the water and wastewater field but has always preferred the technical role which he has been able to return to since joining NKUK.

Alastair has had a number of enjoyable technical assignments including: Director of the Site Investigations and Engineering Studies for the Strategic Sewage Disposal Scheme in Hong Kong; Chief Resident Engineer for the ADB funded Karachi Sanitation Programme in Pakistan; and Project Manager for the City of Riyadh Wastewater Master Plan.  With NKUK he has been Deputy Director for the Phase 3 Preliminary Design of the Great Man-made River Project in Libya and Director responsible for other interesting projects in Azerbaijan, India, Pakistan, Qatar, Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan, amongst others.

When Alastair isn't travelling…he could become totally bored and listless, so even in the UK he spends his time in a mobile state as taxi driver for his extensive family, walking the dog or pushing a lawnmower.  However, he has been known to plan his overseas trips around the London Irish (Rugby) home games in Reading!
